This job is an easy transition if they successfully used the spray bottle as preschoolers.  I recommend using Windex because it cuts through the oils, leaves less residue, so things shine, and is gentler than most hard surface cleaners.  A pair of rubber gloves will help, but they are not necessary.

If you want to reduce the number of paper towels used, you can undoubtedly swap them out for a clean kitchen rag or towel.  Make sure these are clean each time, as you don’t want to introduce germs to your counter.
